Thinking Map Software for the Mac

Hello Everyone,
For school I need to be able to create a thinking map on my computer. The only type of computers in my house are Macs. Does anyone know of free software for creating Thinking maps that I can use. My last resort is running VMWare, but I would rather work in my OS X environment

If you mean mind mapping software, there are free alternatives on the Mac. FreeMind is open source. Xmind has a free version as does MindNode.

Mindjet Mindmanager

This is a commercial application, but if you need it for a limited period you could use the demo. It used to revert to being a viewer only after the demonstration period.

I need something to make tree maps.

I very much second MindNode. I use the Pro version, but the free one does very well and there are even versions for the iPhone and iPad (which are both spectacular translations).
