I am not computer savvy, but I have been in love with Apple computers for many years. I think it's time to upgrade my iBook G4 to a MBP. Can someone help me out with the difference between the ATA Drive and the SSD? Thanks so much.

Thanks a lot, would you recommend it over a regular hard drive?

i would highly recommend it, but i wouldn't buy from apple as there are better, cheaper 3rd party drives (i personally use an OCZ vertex). i've built and used a lot of different computers and would consider a ssd the most noticeable upgrade you can make to any system.
