Thinking of buying a Sony DCR-SR82E

Hi all,

I'm new to the site and a lot of questions coming !!

i'm thinking of buying a Sony DCR-SR82E but want to make sure it works with my mac.

I'll want to download video files and edit them (wedding in 3 weeks and honeymoon !!! )

I have a mac mini.

Now i will upgrage to imovie 08 and will get the MPEG thing so i have get the audio in quicktime.

I have slipstream as i use it with AVI files already to use with my Apple TV.

Now a mate is getting me one while on holiday so i want to make sure its all ok before i purchase.

Finally, explain it to me like a 2 year old !!!!
