I bought the AVP on launch but returned it 2 weeks after because of so many bugs and limitations to the OS. I wanted to use it primarily as a Virtual Mac display but even that had me encountering several bugs that just didn't make the experience good.

I know VisionOS 2.0 is coming and beta is out and I am aware of some of the new features (I'm particularly interested in the ultrawide virtual display). But what other things have they improved or fixed since 1.0?

  • Does it now play the audio coming from your MacBook when using the virtual display?
  • Can I now pair an Apple mouse to use in both AVP and Macbook at the same time?
  • Any improvements in the environments? Can I now see my keyboard or mouse?
  • Has the "Input Temporarily Disconnected" message on top of the virtual display been lessened or fixed. This is one of the most annoying part for me as I always get this message.
  • What other new things or improvement are there since March whether on Beta or in the latest release of the OS?
Thank you!

Disclosure: I am not a AVP owner. This is just what I have been able to gather.

Mouse support and keyboard visibility when in an environment are both features coming in version 2.0, currently in beta.
1.1 through 1.3 we’re mostly about bug fixes and stability improvements.
The only two notable things added are Spatial Persona’s (basically VR/AR collaboration) and iMessage contact key verification support.

2.0 is what you want to wait for.
It seems to have little improvements all over the operating system.
