Me and my roomate are thinking of buying iLife '11, if we dont register our copy is there to buy one then be able to download it on both of our macbooks?

You mean steal the software.

we're not talking about large sums of money, both of you buy it and you'll not have to worry about anything.

why not just get the family pack, it's cheaper then 2x a single copy ($80). but then why upgrade at all?

i upgraded from ilife'09 hoping it would be a huge difference after *all* that time, but it's the same so so suite of 32bit apps with some new themes thrown in, nothing more.

to be honest, i just went to the apple store, picked it up, loaded it on, and i cannot see any real changes to any of the software apart from iPhoto. so i would recommend just sticking to '10 / whatever your have.

From what I've read many people consider iLife 11 an downgrade compared to the previous version, missing functions, slower.
I personally will not upgrade.
