I've currently got a PowerBook G4 17" 1GHz and it's finally time to upgrade. I'm so used to the design and size of my old laptop that its replacement has just got to be the MacBook Pro 17". I'm eyeing one with this config:
• 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
• 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
• 200GB Serial ATA @ 7200 rpm
• 17-inch Hi-Resolution Widescreen Display
• NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 512MB SDRAM
Now I've heard all about the warped cases, misaligned parts, yellow-tinted screens, striped patterns, audio hissing and beeping, etc. etc. but I'm hoping that the majority do not suffer from these problems.
Are there any known issues I should be aware of, such as overheating?
