Just as the topic says-

Thinking of buying the new 27" ACD, but will it work with a PC and DVI?

I'd like to be able to use it with my Macbook Pro when needed but I would also like to be able to use it with my PC which currently has a NVIDIA GeForce 9100 with a DVI connector.

Is this possible?

I haven't found a way to connect this either....

Too bad apple didn't include DVI input on this bad boy.

Seems like they would sell more monitors this way....

I saw this and was hoping there were other options.

Doesn't sound practical to pay an extra $150 on top of the $1000 just to be able to use it on a PC......

Plus it is only single-link DVI so you won't be able to use it at the full resolution that the monitor is capable of.

But wait.....

From the new iMac description in tech specs-

"27-inch models also support input from external DisplayPort sources (adapters sold separately)"

Does this mean that I could connect my PC via a DVI to mini-display port cable?

How do you switch video input on the iMac?

Yes.

By unplugging the cable from your MBP and plugging it into the female DisplayPort connector. (Which is looking like it will be a pain to find.)

Don't worry; I am in the same boat. Minus the money to be on such a glorious monitor.
