I have always went with the PM size phones, but with the screen size increase this year from 6.1 to 6.3, I'm thinking of going with the normal Pro this time. I have big hands, so it's not a size issue, but I wonder if being less bulky will be nice, plus I like how the wallet fits on them vs the Pro Max. Anyone else plan on going from the Pro Max to the Pro?

I’ve thought about it many times. I thought about going to the regular iPhone because it’s significantly lighter. You can’t look at specs, but you have to put it in your hand. Pick up a regular iPhone and hold it and then compare that to your Pro Max. It’s crazy how different it feels.

Only thing stopping me is battery life I cant go smaller...
You’re going to take a battery hit, but depending on how old your Pro Max is, it might not be as much as you think.

Here’s the comparison between a 14 Pro Max and a 16 Pro

My 15 PM is at 89% battery health which means the 16 Pro wouldn’t even feel like a reduction in battery life. Tempted by the more manageable size…

Take it from someone who’s done the change before and come back — not only was it a noticeable battery life hit, it was a noticeable battery degradation hit. My 14P was in the low 80%s by end of year 1.

And 6.7 -> 6.3 will be more noticeable than you think. More noticeable than 6.1 -> 6.3 or 6.7 -> 6.9.
