I used to have a base 14-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro, but I sold it several months back and picked up a 15-inch M4 MacBook Air. It’s been great for portability, but I’m starting to miss the Pro’s performance and display. Now I’m debating whether to sell the MBA and go for the 14-inch M4 Pro or hold off and wait for the M5 MacBook Pro.

For anyone who’s been in a similar spot, is the M4 Pro a solid jump from the M4 Air, or is it better to wait for the M5 MBP?

Also, my MBA is on my AppleCare One plan. If I remove it and sell the laptop, can the new owner still add AppleCare One on their end?

If the rumours are true and the M5 MacBook Pro isn’t far away, I’d wait.

If the M4 MacBook Pro does it for you, I’d still wait and grab it refurb when the M5 comes out to save a few quid.

Unless you really need the MBP now, either way, I’d wait.
