You will, probably for a year or two.

But iPhone 6s to iPhone 7 is not a worthwhile upgrade - maybe iPhone 6s to iPhone 7 Plus is.

I am thinking of upgrading to iPhone 7 from my iPhone 6s do you still get software updates on the iPhone 7
thanks .
Both are great phones make no mistake.
iPhone 7 is more advanced, lighter, faster, tougher, water resistant. Isn’t it brighter too?

iPhone7 is still a current model.

I wouldn't upgrade to the 7 because you won't find many differences at all. I'd suggest upgrading to a 7 Plus or 8 at least since they've become a lot closer in price.

I won't do that. The difference is not huge, maybe 6s to 8 would do.

8 on the other hand will get at least 1-2 years of support more than the 7.

I always thought the iPhone 7 was a bit of a downgrade because it lost the audio input and the physical home button felt better to me.

I would get an 8 or better. A 7 is going on 3 years old, hardly worth the money, especially coming from a 6S. Did you just buy your 6s last year at this time? If not, it makes no sense to wait all this time just to buy a phone one year ahead of what you already have and have had for quite some time.

I wouldn't even upgrade to an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus from a iPhone 6S. Not worth it in my opinion.

Yes, the iPhone 7 will be supported for at least another 3 years, if not longer.

The only thing about the 7 is that the baseline storage is just 32GB. If you get the 128GB model, it is already more expensive than the 64GB iPhone 8. So If you need more than 32GB but not more than 64GB, the iPhone 8 64GB is the better deal.
