iPad Thinner Side Borders on 5th gen iPad?

I would love to see Apple doing the thin side border on the bigger ipad the way the did for the iPad mini.

I'm wondering on what the chances are of them doing so. I feel a redesign for sure but is this request something of the possibility with knowing How Apple works.
