Didn't Steve say it was slightly thinner in the keynote? I went to Apple.com, and in the tech specs, it is slightly thicker. Does anyone know if it is thinner or thicker?

Thanks!

Yes, but her made sure to say "around the edges." It is actually a little bigger and thicker in the middle but hardly noticeable.

thinner "at the edges" yea a real jack-off move if you ask me...

If you look at them side by side, the new phone has a very, very slightly larger maximum thickness, but it tapers rapidly after that. The internal volume looks to be smaller overall.

Typical move from Apple.

They did the exact same thing with the new Aluminum iMacs. Made it black and bulge out to appear more svelte. :D

I was in my chemistry class when I saw the specs, so I asked my teacher for one of those weird vernier rulers that measure thickness; mine (the old one OFC) came out 0.46 inches (roughly 11.684 millimeters.) while the other one (according to Apple) is 0.48 inches thick (12.3mm). Although its lighter its a bit thicker, not that its gonna stop me to grab one when they're unlockable haha.
