What are my options I want a slim clear see through case. I basically want it as thin as can be to where the camera doesn't lye on a surface.

I'm using the Ringke Slim (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...TNPUHXJ6S2PVHO). It's thick enough to protect the protruding camera lens on the back, but not any thicker. It also has a front lip and covers all sides of the phone.

The camera is 0.77MM tall so as long as you get the 0.80MM Rock Clear Case (pictured) you're all set. It's the thinnest and best quality clear case that gives you good camera, lie-on-table, and drop protection. I've tried them all, compared about a dozen to each other while traveling in Asia where selection is plentiful, trust me on this one, it's what you want.

BJ,

Do you mind posting a link to where you purchased yours? I've seen those cases, but some are the .4mm or .5mm which is too thin for the camera protection.

I wish I could, I purchased it in a shop in Hong Kong last week.

How thin does this case feel in the hand? I want a case that feels as close to the naked feel as possible whilst providing a thin layer of protection. I recently received the Rock Ultrathin Flexible TPU case and to be honest, it's not as thin as I thought it would be. It's noticeable in the hand and the thickeness over the buttons sticks out quite a bit, but maybe i'm just being too anal about this. :|

Btw, is this the exact same case you are using?

Also, with your Rock case have you noticed a 'yellowish' tint to the clear case? Mine seems to have this issue when you look at the thickness of the case at certain angles in the light.

I just bought this for the 6 plus from eBay. I wonder if the iloome screenmate would work on this?

Does the camera really protrude that much? The cases are probably all cut differently but I have a clear 4.0mm case from Hong Kong and its perfectly flush with the camera no protection there. Some folks say the Rock 6.0mm also sits flush. I read a post here that says the 7.0mm Rock on his plus protects the camera. I don't even know what to believe anymore waiting for his response. Yours looks pretty good but if I can get by with a 7.0mm I'll go that route I want a case that's barely there but that'll let me lay it down.

How thick is that case you linked/received does it say anywhere I couldn't find it? If it's a 8mm when looking at it do you think a 7mm would protect the camera? It might be what were looking for.

Someone mentioned in another thread that the 6mm is the newest version. It was 8mm and they redesigned it because it was noticeably bulkier especially on the volume buttons. So in short, I'm looking to buy the 6mm Rock case for my iPhone 6 space gray, it looks eBay is more cheaper. Btw, they have 2 colors, Clear and Clear Black.

LOL thanks for these pictures man, look a lot like my sons Instagram account before we had to have a very serious talk...

Who makes the Rock case? I googled it and didn't find any reviews online, it's confusing too because they have different sizes. It seems like everybody likes it in China and only sold there (not even Amazon). Some forums members here swear by it.

There's also a 7mm version the 6mm won't protect the lense but it's as thin as you're gonna get. I'm still undecided between the 7 and 8mm

Yes, my case is exactly the one in that eBay link. No, no sign of yellowing, and in fact this seems to be a much higher grade of TPU than other cases I've experienced.

But...

I suspect there is no such thing as these other Rock TPU 'versions' of this case. I don't think there is a .6mm or a .7mm, I think there is only this .8mm one. Reason being I've been to Hong Kong on business twice since the iPhone 6 released and I must have hit 100 mobile and electronics shops and looked at maybe 20 different TPU cases and I never saw any other TPU clear case by Rock except the one I bought and photographed. Furthermore, it doesn't make sense to me that a company would offer three products that are identical except for a paper-thin difference in thickness.

From my experience looking at over 100 cases in Hong Kong this week, clear cases break down like this:

0.3mm hard back shells (saw a ton of these, frosted, not soft)
0.4mm soft TPU cases (really cheap, $3, everywhere, 10 different brands)
0.8mm TPU cases (my Rock version, didn't see another like it)
1.0mm hard crystal cases (not flexible, cheap feeling)

So, my theory, the Rock case is something special because it was the only clear TPU case I found that was thick enough to offer camera and drop protection yet is thin enough to not be considered bulky or over-produced. That's why out of the 100's of choices I saw, I only bought and use this one.

That said, it's not all nirvana. The left/right sides are a tad looser than they should be and the buttons are hard to press. Much as I feel this Rock case is the best clear TPU on the market right now, I alternate mostly between my Apple leather case and my Spigen Neo Hybrid. Apple leather for workdays in the boardroom, Spigen Neo Hybrid when it's raining or I need drop protection on the weekends.

Just got my Rock Ultrathin 0.7mm TPU case for my iPhone 6 Plus. The packaging was very premium! VERY slim case... but still offers protection on the protruding camera and there is a SLIGHT lip on the front to protect the screen (just barely).

It's pretty damn thin... and I actually would prefer a larger lip on the front to protect a screen drop. I think 0.8mm would be perfect, so I'm ordering that one now.
The soft TPU definitely helps the grip. It's a lot easier to hold and still remains very thin/slim.

This will probably be my day-to-day case. My brown leather case is a lot more luxurious obviously, so I'll prob use that one at night/when I go out.

That's the exact same case and packaging that I have and measured to be .8mm. Do me a favor as I threw out the packaging in Hong Kong:

Can you look over the labels on the box and see if there is anything that claims a millimeter size? I don't recall that it says .8 or .7 at all, I have a theory that they are all the same case and in their rush to put these online these companies are all claiming different thickness by mistake.

Does this case overlap screen at all? I'm eyeing SPs and those that cover entire screen may not be compatible if sides of case come over screen

I ordered this case from EBay and couldn't distinguise what thickness was which and it won't arrive until maybe next month. But I'm sold on how inexpensive it is compared to power support air jacket. I have the Ringke fusion but the thinness of this case made it a impulse buy

Let us know Andy what thickness it is, and if only the description states 7mm can you confirm that the camera is indeed protected when lying down on its back?

BTW- BJ look at his camera cutout then look at yours they look different don't think they are the same
