I asked about getting one of these a while back and got some good advice, but now I've got it in my g4, it doesn't recognise any wireless connection.
My Mac is running OSx10.4 and airport 3.1, the aria extreme pci wireless card I've got, says min system requirements are 10.2.6 and the airport 3.1.
I've set up the router (netgear dg834) to work wirelessly with my intel imac and that's fine. I changed the security from WPA to WEP, as the aria card didn't mention anything about WPA, but did mention about WEP.
It doesn't recognise my router when I plug it in with an ethernet cable either, but perhaps this is a separate matter and not really important if I'm connecting to it wirelessly.
There are two lights on the back of the PCI slot and not surprisingly, perhaps the LINK light glows, but the one with ACT doesn't.
I've used the airport admin set up assistant, but it still doesn't find any networks, despite there being a few other network in the surrounding flats (apartments), I've tried to have no security on the network, and see if that was stopping the connection.
I've googled quite alot around the subject, but haven't got any fast. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks
