I just realized that Apple has added Single Sign-on (SSO) functionality for enterprise accounts. Now what I am wondering is whether or not Apple has decided to apply this to normal third-party applications as an API or not.

Android does this almost perfectly already, and I was hoping that Apple would do the same. (As they have done with enterprise users)

At the very least, Apple should do this for apps that Apple chooses to use as integrated services like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Flickr.

For example: on Twitter app, if I click on a link posted by someone that takes you to a post on Facebook, the Facebook application will initiate an automatic log-in and therefore allows you to access that Facebook content with your account already signed-in; where you can comment in that content right away with your Facebook account. Currently, you have to separately log in to Facebook within every single application (including Safari) but not the Facebook app.

Do you know if this has already been implemented in iOS 7?
