I am considering purchasing my first Apple Watch. When they first came out, i disliked the band they came with and thought Apple was charging ridiculous amounts for nicer ones so it killed off my interest from the start. Now i just realized you can have a nice leather band on Amazon for $20 ?!???! Is there something I am missing or not understanding in regard to the astronomical price difference between the bands Apple sell and the ones from third parties ?

I have been a long time Apple customer so i know they can sometimes overcharge (sometimes not) but that usually for something you can't get elsewhere, here we are talking about watch bands.

Thank you

many are happy with third party bands and there are good ones. However there are also very bad ones. The main thing to be very careful with are the fittings to the watch. Some of the poor quality can get jammed in the watch or at best be difficult to remove.

Or break while wearing and watch shatters. Not my experience someone who did experience it. It wasn’t pretty at all.
