Hello everyone. I recently purchased an new iphone 6S online to replace my cracked 6. It was advertised as being unlocked but when i tried putting my sim in, I could not get it to activate. Ended up calling apple who said the device was sim locked to Sprint. My family uses ATT so right now this phone is useless.

Is there a way to factory unlock this device so I can use it with ATT? A quick google search turns up a bunch of sites offering "factory unlock" of the phone but I can't tell if they're real or scam sites. Any feedback is much appreciated, thanks.

Have you contacted Sprint and asked to have the phone unlocked? If the phone has been fully paid off and no outstanding charges, then Sprint should unlock it for you. However, if there are any outstanding charges, Sprint will refuse. If that's the case, get a refund from whoever you purchased the phone from.
