Is it possible to use a Third party chinese character keyboard on a Mac? Im looking on ebay and i see some but they are not rated for Macs but use a USB connector.

hmmm

Interesting question.

I bought an "International English" Apple Keyboard when I was living in Europe. All the keys worked according to the keyboard since 10.1

Sometime during a Panther upgrade, around 10.3.2 or 10.3.3, all of the sudden an American Flag appeared in the top right menu bar next to the time and volume. There is now a drop down menu which offers an "Input Menu."

"Select the keyboard layouts, input methods, and palettes that appear in the input menu."

There are many keyboard options, that aren't part of the MacOSX install from American Discs.

Czech
Estonian
Hungarian
Latvian
Lithuanian
2 Polish
Slovak
2 Bulgarian
Macedonian
3 Afghan
2 Arabic
2 Cherokee Nation (Native American)
and many more

tons of new options for keyboard input.

I suspect that the OS and the keyboard (in 2005) will let you use this keyboard with your Mac.

Keep me posted if it works.
