Hi All,

I'm pretty upset. In January of this year, I accidentally closed my MBP on the end of the charging cable, rending my MBP badly-damaged with the entire display looking like a plaid shirt. I paid the (insanely high) price to have it repaired...and less than a month later, it happened again. It was within the 90-day repair warranty period, but Apple said they wouldn't replace it.

The screen is not as damaged as it could be, but the damage obscures two inches of the screen which is frustrating. I should have been more careful, but it is insane to me that a replacement screen should cost so much.

There are third party sellers for nearly everything Apple. Are there any third-party sellers for the screen/display? I don't want to pay $500 to fix this.
