I have a Penoval A4 stylus with my iPad Mini 6, and it's great - good magnetic lock on the side of the iPad and wireless charging, and works brilliantly.

Unfortunately it doesn't work so well on my iPad Air 2024 - the magnetic lock is weak, and it doesn't charge. It works fine for what I need it for, but charging it on the go would be a problem.

Is there a third party stylus the IS compatible with the new magnet placement on the iPad Air and has wireless charging? The Pencil Pro is overkill for me, and the USB C Pencil is a step back in functionality from what I already have, given that it doesn't charge wirelessly.

I am looking for the same as well. I am searching pencil that is compatible to both iPad Pro M1 and ipad mini 7.

Has anybody used a good but cheapish stylus for iPad Mini a17 Pro (7) not the iPad Mini 6?

I don't need wireless charging, magnetic attachment-

So, really just looking for a cheap option to try out, making notes and doodling before looking at Apple pencil variants.

I ended up getting the HJCE Pencil for iPad from Amazon UK for £8.99 including very fast shipping.

It does magnetically attache to my iPad Mini a17 Pro but no wireless charging. Not sure about the battery, only used the pencil for around 2 hours. Tap twice at the top to turn & off and it auto shuts after 5 mins. it does not use bluetooth.

I've tried the pencil with Apple Notes and places where scribble is available and well as quickly with note taking apps I'm trying out - Nebo, Goodnotes 6 & Noteful. Seems to work well.

Overall it's basic and gets the job done. Hopefully it's lasts a few month and the battery is somewhat okay. Read the reviews though.

PS. I did go the Apple Store and tried out for 5 mins the Apple Pencil Pro and, from memory, maybe, the pencil Pro was a bit smoother when writing and less noisy but's it's hard to tell if I'm honest as I did not do a side by side comparison.
