Hi, I installed the latest update to the Waterminder app which said it had iOS 16 widget support.

Then I updated my phone to iOS 16.

However, when customizing the LockScreen and choosing add widget I cannot find water minder listed.

Am I doing something wrong?

Or does it just take time for a 3rd party app to get added to the list?

Posted this elsewhere but just solved this for myself – your mileage may vary but I had some luck offloading the apps through Settings-General-iPhone Storage then reinstalling (that preserves all the data, logins, etc.) Worked for Carrot, Fantastical and Overcast. Will try WaterMinder next.

That worked! Thanks!

Thank you, worked like a charm!

Thanks for trying, but didn't work for me. I tried Things 3 which supports Lock Screen widgets.

It works. Fixed Fantastical, Cardhop, Countdown and Subtrack.

I got pointed to this thread when I asked this same question. Worked perfectly! Hopefully Apple fixes this, I would hate to be stuck vetting every app update. For what it’s worth, I attached the link to this post in my support DMs with Apple.

I had to reopen the app after reinstalling it for it to work for some of the apps I tried it on

Seriously? The fix is to find which apps have the widgets, delete, and reinstall? (Which is the only method that worked for me on two apps I have).

It just works, huh? Did they actually test this **** ?
