This is not the same problem as the earlier post today from the guy getting this message in error. I have a car hook-up that uses the dock connector into my CD changer and it works just great. It was originally for an older iPod so it doesn't charge my iPhone 3Gs but I'm OK with that.

Every time I plug in however I get "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone". I know it's not made to work with iPhone, I understand what it's telling me and I'm happy with that - is there some way to permanently dismiss this message?

I have the same issue with my Logitech speakers.

I've been looking for a fix for this for at least a month now and haven't found anything yet. I just bought the iHome iP9 and constantly get this message when I dock my phone, even though it says that it "Works with iPhone" right on the box! Talk about annoying.

Fixing "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone" pop up

1. go to and download http://www.huanix.com/iapd (direct download)

2. SSH to iphone and navigate to this /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/IAP.framework/Support/

3. copy the iapd in Support, reboot

That's it.

hi i am having the same pop up and my internal speaker sound dissapeared... :(

will this method work for iPhone 3 GS FW 3.0 jailbear redsn0w 0.8 ?

anyone could confirm that?

thanks in advance

Try it. You'll know.

sure I am tempted to try any hack right away...
but as I got a stable jailbreak and avoid all updates from Apple
don't want to screw my iPhone and being forded into
restore to latest FW :(
that's why I need to b sure

Is it safe?

I can't SSH into my iPhone anylonger
is there other way I could do this hack?

How about trying one of these?

I know charging isn't what you're looking for, but it might just get rid of that annoying message, too.

i dont have a problem with chargin
and dont get message "chraging is not supported"

instead
i get " This Accessory does not work with your iPhone" popup tha disables the sound of my internal iPghone speaker and all system sound ....

so i need another solution

But ive read that pop up blocker only stops thé popup
but would NOT bring the sound of internal speaker back .... :(

i've lost my sound..... so

i need a different hack via mobile terminal or something else?

Installed Popup blocker, got rid of popup ....
But still no sounds from internal speaker??! :(

cannot SSH into my 3GS 3.0... Either

is there another way?

Well, i have tried all kinds of hacks i could find on forums
even restored iPhone to a custome 3.2.1 FW but the popup
was still appearing ....
but than one day after a month of struggle it just dissapeared
and all was fine with sound ???!!!

I have No idea what was the problem --- I suspect it was the humidity or dust
in my iPhone dock ( where u plug in the charger)

Try to carefully inspect it and clean it with dry air or something
donno why Apple made it open and prone to collect dust from the
pockets and humidity?
now I am extremely causious with it and looking for a iPhone case that can close the dock whole comepletely when not charging...
anyone knows any brands, models?
