This is definitely a n00b question, but how do I disable subscriptions to threads?s

I just got like 6 e-mails about threads I "subscribed" to

But I didn't do that myself.
I'm guessing it's some sort of automatic feature that I have to disable?

Towards the upper-right of your screen: Quick Links > Subscribed threads

Go to "User CP" and to "Edit Options." Scroll down and you'll see "Default Subscription Mode." Set it to "Do Not Subscribe."
