Hi,

This is driving me insane. I purchased the X Plane Trainer app a while back and then deleted it ages ago as it wasnt very good. Now the App Store on the iphone says purchased items it keeps trying to install this on its own but then says it cant as it needs wifi (which i dont currently have). The problem is if i hold it to delete there is no X to delete it , the app isnt available anymore off itunes as its been discontinued yet my iphone asks me at least 15 times a day to enter my app store password to download it when i dont want to!

Any ideas?

Contact iTunes support. They fixed this a couple of times for me. They have to remove it from your download queue or it'll keep happening.
 
Turn off automatic downloads in Settings/Store perhaps?

And maybe report this as a bug to Apple. This doesn't sound like correct auto-download behavior at all. Use either this (preferred) or this (assuming you're on an iPhone) to report a bug.
 
if you still have it on your computer, you could try loading it on from there, then deleting it? Not sure, but its worth a shot

hopefully they fix this by the final release

Why don't you try logging out of your Apple ID? Then after an hour or two, log back in.
