View attachment 197249After tearing my hair out (almost) for an hour, I finally worked out how to setup PUSH Gmail on my iPod touch. If you use "@gmail.com" in your email address, change it to "@googlemail.com" when setting up your iPhone/iPod touch for Gmail Exchange account (PUSH email, contacts & calendars).

Here is the official link to setup:

This may be duplicate information, but I just wanted to save people the frustration of it not working. One cool thing I noticed - if I send a message from myself to myself on the Mac, it appears IMMEDIATELY on the Mail.app badge on the iPod touch... if I don't open the Mail.app on the iPod touch, and read it anywhere else, the badge disappears immediately!.

I used @gmail and mine works just fine.
Should I go and change it to @googlemail? Will I run into complications?

Oh, and hours? I found the link in a few minutes on my own. Googled "push gmail iphone" and that was the 1st link.

Dude, you forgot a blur. You may want to change it.

doesn't help you if you already have an exchange account setup. Apple should just allow google true push and be done with it. See all BB's
