I heard that the new 2.0 firmware will have the same functionality as if you used jail break so there will be no use for it.

Do some research on what the 2.0 update has. Search the Forums/ search Google.

It's really not even almost true. Jailbreakers will still have some uses for the 2.0 software, and non-jailbreakers would still lack many features available to jailbreakers.
