I just found an interesting post. Here are pics of what iOS 7 looked like in developement. So, in february 2013 the version was not finished at all

By the way: What do you think about the design of iMessage in the iOS 7 in february? These overlapping bubbles, I do not like them at all

I love it, the differences are subtle but the proportions seems better (the label "contact" looks better with more space on its right), the overlapping bubbles definitely feel more designed than pratical, but I like them!
