...such a mess! Apple has really screwed the pooch this time. They went and made a product that's way too popular. They really should have toned down their marketing and celebrity watch giveaways so that I could so I could get my 42mm SG on launch day. Now only tens or hundreds of thousands of people will get their watch on day one, but my order is still "processing" with no charge so the whole thing is disastrous. I really wish Tim Cook could have scoured these forums ahead of time so he could see which models would be most popular and make mine. Steve would have never stood for any of this!

I'm sorry but I can't help but to laugh. :D Your post is funny.

Not sure if Apple screw up dude. They are selling watches and if you don't want yours, there are plenty of people in line waiting for one. Profit is good and customers like myself are coming back time after time.

For the amount we are paying they should just include a free white band with each watch. Then customers can buy the other bands separately.

I think Tim was a little too excited about launch when he says he can't live without it, et cetera. But that makes me wonder, if they think it's 'so amazing' why did they not anticipate sales. I understand not shipping everyone their Watch day one and then no hype and everyone moves on with their lives. But I ordered one single minute after the store was live and have not been charged. Who knows, maybe I will get it day one, but all we have to go by at this point is statistics and I'm a little shocked, to be frank.

I have no doubt they anticipated sales.

All the prediction/anticipation in the world doesn't suddenly make supply issues go away, though. I'm quite certain they're building the Watches as fast as they can.

You didn't quote the relative part of my post, though. Obviously the factor is how many people ordered in that one single minute, but the fact that I ordered within the first minute and am seemingly not in the first wave of shipments is quite surprising.

This forum is only a tiny slither of the population. I am sure this "huge demand" is a lot less than you may believe.
