This stopped the bouncing icon in the Dock

I called AppleCare and they said to go to PREFERENCES and DOCK and to check ANIMATE OPENING APPLICATIONS, then close PREFERENCES and then open again and uncheck what you just checked. It worked! It's a bug that can be fixed by doing this.
