I watched one video of his and was annoyed. I haven't watched another of his since lol
It only took watching 1 of his videos years ago to know he wasn't someone I want to continue viewing.. This news honestly doesn't surprise me at all...
LMAO, did you guys see his pathetic buttkissing video he did for Apple in a recent video? He tried his best but he's been permanently friendzoned by Apple lmfao.
His problem is: He likes (begrudgingly) Apple but the majority of the big clicks on his videos come from anti-Apple videos that android fans love to watch. That brings in the $$$. However, he's been blacklisted by Apple so he won't ever get anymore review units like other Youtubers get (from absolutely heavily biased anti-Apple videos). He has to pay out of pocket for them.
Meanwhile, all the other youtubers are flourishing because there IS a huge interest for iPhones (duh) and most people don't want to swift through a bunch of crappy cryptic 'Don't Not Buy The iPhone 11 Pro' *facepalm thumbnail* videos so they're turning to other higher quality tech youtubers for info. He's feeling the pressure lol

He's pretty biased and definitely prefers Android and so does his community. No wonder Apple's doesn't send him any review units.
YouTubers (all of them) are an extremely odd group of narcissistic wanna bees. I've personally renamed YouTube to "TrashTV" because that's what it is for 99.5% of the content on there.

If I want to see someone holding a product I am interested in and it happens to be Unbox Therapy, I'll watch his video on mute. Same goes for Dave Lee, Linus, The Verge, etc. Only a few I can tolerate such as MKBHD (his content quality is hands down the best - I know there are strong opinions against him), Mobiletechreview and 9to5Mac.
I can’t watch Linus or this guy. The black guy (Marquee or something, can’t remember his name) is hands down one of the best. There is another guy from the UK called WhoseTheBoss (I think) who is very good too. EverythingApplePro is very watchable. But those two I mentioned at the top of my post...I’d rather stick pins in my eye than watch those two gobshites.

He is nothing more than a fancy infomercial. His channel is clickbait for the cerebrally challenged.
WhoseTheBoss and EverythingApplePro are my two favourites; though I've noticed a lot of people here and on reddit aren't fond of EAP. I enjoy Marques, and Zollotech also.
So much drama on YouTube. I normally would not have time to discover this, but yeah, Unbox Therapy also got mixed up in a sketchy Escobar phone. I mean, really? Does the name not cause you to pause and maybe do a little more research?
Thank you! They're incredibly toxic. There's a very small minority that are good and biased but yeah. They're also designed to make your last year's device feel like ancient technology.
I saw his videos when he first appeared but can’t stand him to be fair. He shouts and is so over-animated, it’s hard to watch I find. Just comes across like a bit of a moron who has got famous for reasons I can’t for the life of me see.
Never particularly watched anything from UBT, just not my favoured style or format for reviews. For me Dave 2D and MobileTechReview are the real gold standard of objective Youtube reviewers, along with the Tech Chap who is also really good for a UK perspective on devices. I was quite surprised with Jonathan Morrison and Rene Ritchie on the 13" MacBook Pros recently though, they didn't sugarcoat the lacklustre base model update where I was rather expecting them to!

Who are you talking about, unbox therapy or Jon prosser ?
Brandon Butch has felt too clickbait-y lately, imo. Zollotech is great, and Rene Richie is incredibly professional and I really like his style. The rest on that list I haven't watched much of. Other than Zollotech and Rene the only other tech YouTubers I enjoy are Marques Brownlee and Tailosive Tech. I can't stand Unbox Therapy.

Recently tried watching one of UBT videos but he was so over the top that I stopped watching.
I rarely watch YouTube to begin with preferring the written word. One reviewer I really like is Lisa from MobileTechReview. Very calm and no-nonsense.
I think I've watched zollotech's and Rene Ritchie's reviews as well and they're okay, too.
