Has noticed the Belkin Ultraglass 2 screen protector that Apple sells has potentially changed this year?

I've tried three different ones on three different 17 variants and there's a lot of friction on all of them (at least whilst new). Haven't had enough time to see if it changes over time (only first couple of days), but its like my finger drags and gets caught across the screen rather than glides. A new coating or something?

Found one reddit thread experiencing it so far -
Anyone else experienced this?

I don't notice a difference at all and I have used the Beklin in store option for a few generations now.

I reckon my local store has probably gotten a bad batch based on this… interesting

I’m experiencing the same issue. I just got the 17 Pro Max today and had the Belkin screen protector applied at the Apple Store. There’s noticeable friction when I slide my fingers across the screen, and you can even hear it if you hold the phone close enough. It definitely doesn’t feel normal.

There's definitely a rough batch going around. The Apple store employee looked at me like I'm crazy, but I exchanged it for an in store applied protector and it's all good now. I noticed the difference immediately. I'd recommend either going to a different nearby store, and/or waiting a week or so till a new shipment comes in to ensure you get a different batch.
