This yellow spot engadget poll ain't lookin too good...

Maybe most who are reading/replying have the issue and those that don't aren't bothering?

Based on your pic:

1630+834+1801=4265 currently have their iPhone 4's
9007 don't have their iPhones yet, so they're not included in this calculation
1630+834=2464 are experiencing problems with their screen
1801 have perfect screens
2464/4265 = 57.77% experiencing problems

yep same results I just posted to him, this isnt looking good. Has me worried a bit

lolyup. This is pretty scary. Even if it is just people who are online right now and voting and only people who have their iPhones already, these are scary results. Over 2,000 people already confirming their screens have yellow spots isn't good at all.

you quoted me before my edit :p I thought it came off a bit harsh and it wasnt intended that way lol so sorry to whoever it was.

But again, it doesnt look good.....couple that with the reception problems and I am concerned.......!!

Not a lot of people seem to be complaining about the reception issue. This yellow spot issue, however, has me worried.

I'm not too worried about this poll. There could be a lot of people voting who don't have the new iPhone or ever plan on getting the iPhone 'cause they hate it for whatever reason.

I'll hold off until I get mine and see if it's an issue.

Uh, not wishing to be rude but it's an online poll on a site that's infested with die hard android fanboys. Do you really expect everyone to tell the truth here? Frankly if the actual figure is a tenth of that I'd be surprised. Not saying it's not an issue, but don't panic or take as gospel figures that are so easily manipulated.

Nah you're not bein rude. I guess it didn't even occur to me people may want to just trash the poll for fun. *Sigh*. Still though, it seems to be enough of a widespread issue. We'll see how this turns out. I'm surprised this was allowed to happen at all... maybe Apple rushed the phone a bit? Hmmmm...... lol

I agree. There are literally thousands of iPhone/Apple haters that browse Engadget. Which do you think they will choose in that poll? :eek:

I'm surprised Gizmondo has no poll like this going yet.

And if we were to go by polls here, everything Apple made would be worthless junk ;)

Personally, I'm trying to get over the yellow spots issue before I worry about reception. Very depressing, but hopefully I can get is swapped out on Fri. Otherwise maybe they can just order a new panel. The real PITA is that since the iP4 uses a microsim I can't just put it in my 3GS while its being fixed if it comes to that. I wonder if ATT has an adapter.
 
None for me.
Coming from 3G, I'm completely blown away. Now I can get to the business of using the phone and enjoying it instead of chatting and foruming about it.
