Think you could post some pics of your games at the high res and then scaled down to 14x9? Also the FPS difference.

I think this would help MANY people on here that are concerned with gaming performance depending on their resolution.

EVEN if the fps difference was huge when switching from 1440x900 to 1680x1050 (which it isn't I'm sure of it-- most likely less than 10fps at most) it wouldn't be worthwhile to game at a non-native resolution or get a laptop with lesser resolution just to get a slight fps increase.


Chances are, having a better pixel resolution (and I mean dpi, not dimensions) will make the game sharper and thus look better, compared to maybe an increase in a singular graphics setting.
