Do you have the screen on the entire time?

I can't seem to get more than 10 hours. Sometimes a tad less if I'm playing games.

Brightness just under 50%.

Amazing battery

The Airs battery is a beast. I had 10 hrs 38 minutes of usage and had 38% still. Been consistent over 12 hrs

I usually get 10 hours of use out of my air. By then my battery is down to around 5% left. My brightness is at 50% and I am either surfing the internet or reading a book as my typical use.

I'm getting 12+ hours of usage and several days standby. I assume usage means the screen is on. I usually run the screen at between 20-30% brightness.

Usage doesn't mean screen is on. Music or airplay, among other activities will increment the counter too. (Although IMO that's functional usage too, so it should count.)

Right now I'm at 5 hours usage and 71% battery and over a day of standby. Air seems to be on par with my 4 where 15+ hours was the norm.

I do keep my screen relatively dim at 30-40%.

Screen on at 40-50% brightness and wifi, I'm getting around 1hr 20min for each 10% drop in battery. Usage time in settings can be misleading if the screen is off, but Bluetooth on.

Do you have the screen on the entire time?
Yep. Brightness is usually turned down to 0-30% on mine, though (normally use the iPad for reading in the dark). With the screen off, I think I'll probably get over 20 hours.

I got 16 hours and 10 minutes before it powered off from a full charge! I watched a few Youtube videos and used it for web surfing/eReader for the majority of the time. I kept my brightness to about 40%. My iPad3 gets about 12 hours still with the same usage and it's about 15 months old.

Right now I'm at 5 hours and 43 minutes with 81% battery remaining.

Maybe I'll hit 20 hours of usage from 100% to 1%

Battery is amazing so far, love the Air.

iPad Air has a high battery life dynamic range. If you use it for heavy tasks/ high brightness it's CPU/ display will draw a lot of power and it will probably die around 10 or just under 10 hours. Use it lightly and with dimmed brightness and you should get 12 hours easily.

I got almost 17 hours on my last charge, and I'm pretty sure I had the screen on for all those hours. But I did keep the screen brightness at a minimum (10-15 %).

use 79% brightness and got just under 13 hours surfing the net, facebook, facetime and playing games like real racing 3 etc

Well I'm now at 4% with 15hrs 3mins usage and 10 days 13 hours standby!

This is with the brightness around 40-50%, which I find plenty bright enough. Mainly browsing and general app usage split about 50/50 over Wifi & 3G.

Very impressed with the battery life to be honest. Leagues ahead of my iPad3 which was just the worst for battery usage.

Don't believe most of the hype you read on here.

Goes both ways. The Air was barely on the market before we had people obsessing over the display (and probably convincing others their display was bad even if it was fine). Now same thing with the mini. We have gamut-gate around here.

20+ hours for me, and 30%+ battery remaining.. Seems to fair better than my previous Mini gen1 I had. Of course I consider my usage a bit on the light side, I browse the web, use lower brightness when I can, play games that don't really push the GPU much (Tiny Tower for example). Reading, some Spotify while the screen is on most of the time.. I'm really liking it's longevity. And I have 7+ days of Standby as well on this charge.

10+ hours at 51% battery. Not sure if this is accurate, but I'll take it lol.
