I still haven't made up my mind. I don't know if I should pre-order it or just wait till next week to pick it up at the Apple Store. I think if I wait to pick it up at the store, I will be able to have it on my hands faster. But in case I decide to pre-order, I'm going to be getting the 64G cause 32G is just not enough for me!!!

So far three times as many 32GB as either of the other two options, not surprising.

But I am surprised to see the 8GB even with the 64GB. I guess the ratio of cheapskates to big spenders is roughly 1 to 1. :)

My son has been saving up for a while, but with the price increase, the 8g is all he can afford. He is not complaining mind you, he was holding out for the camera(s).

careful guys, the high def video camera uses a lot of space, so 64GB for me cause i intend to use mine a lot.

I hear ya. People are quick to say... "it's only $70 more", but $70 is a lot of money. The good thing about this years base model is he'll get the full feature experience as everyone else. He'll just have to manage his storage a little more than folks with the higher capacity models. No biggie though. It's easily done and helps keep things organized too.

32 GB for me. I would have chosen the 8 GB, but I realize that the Camera function might take a bunch of space, especially when University starts pretty soon.

If you purchase the new iPod Touch from Amazon you can get free shipping and pay *No* tax. Maybe dad could help him out a little. :D

32gb for me. Its 4 times the storage (roughly) for 70$ more (plus tax)

HD video will take alot of space, so 8 gb probably isnt the way to go, and while 64gb is double 32, i think 32 for 319.99 is the best money:storage ratio

What is a lot of space? How many minutes of HD video recording takes up 1GB? I only have 2GB of music and about 2 GB of apps. I guess it is safe to say that 32GB is enough?

Im going to get a 8gb model in store since I have a iPod mini to recycle. I would go bigger but i already got a 32gb iPhone 4. Darn Apple for making the new Touch so cool.

64 Gig

Mainly because I'll be using all of the functions plus I'm just about at full capacity on my ipod 30gb classic. I pretty much know for a fact that I'm not going to upgrade to a new ipod touch anytime soon.

I have 127 HD videos uploaded to youtube from my HD cameras and plan on doing alot of HD videos with it so I ordered the 64GB version.

8 GB. I just have ~4 GB of music (I'm really picky ;)) and I only listen to a fraction of that anyways. Even with Apps and all that there's still enough room for pictures and short video clips. At least for me.

Wow. 4GB is a lot? I must be doing something wrong. I only have 1.5GB of music. I'm not a music major/lover though (I'm an app guy :)). I'm going to get a 32GB model at the discretion of another member. How much space does an HD movie (from the camera) take up? Let's say 10 minutes of HD film.
