I always liked the idea of selling the iphone 5 now to get more money but than I am so dependent on it, what do you all use NOW once your phone is gone until you buy the new one?

Dumbphone.
It's refreshing to have one and reconnect with life for a few days before going back to a smartphone. Kind of forces you to be a normal person like how it was before everyone turned into smartphone zombies:

I sold my iPhone 5 and now I am using a Nokia that brings me good memories and nostalgia
It is not too bad for few days while I get the new iPhone model

A cheap android that you can re-sell it via ebay would be ok. I have done that

I just keep the iPhone till the new one arrives. I don't think you'll get that much less just now, till after the release of the next one.
