So jealous of you guys across the Atlantic!!!
Counting down to 2 weeks now:( but at least it gives me a chance to read up on some hands on reviews of the ipad2.

I've read a few posts of Apple stores in the US handing out tickets for those queuing with the iPad model you want.
Does this mean the model is reserved for you for when you get into the store? If this is the case, why can't you just grab a ticket and then return at say 7pm when the queue is much smaller?

Also, were ALL Apple stores handing out tickets for those in line?

Just trying to get some sort of idea as to how the UK launch might go about.

I was given a ticket, but it only said I could pick an iPad 2 up on 3-11-11. No model was listed. Maybe they do that depending on the stock?

It seemed to me that the tickets were given out to make sure that people did not cheat in the line. Some people in my store did try it, but were quickly escorted by an employee whom I was told used to be a bouncer.

I got a ticket.. They asked me which model I wanted and kept track of it and said if people ahead of me didn't change their minds I'd get it but the ticket only guaranteed me an iPad.

I did get the model I wanted.
