Those who don't use back/rear protection (iphone5)

How is the back of the phone holding up? I'm kind of OCD with scratches on my devices, and currently have a clear "screen" protector-like cover on the back of my black i5. I'd like to take it off, since it gives the whole back a gloss look, and I like the flat black of the naked back. Anyone having issues with chips, nicks, scratches? Just trying to see if I'll be running a high or low risk not having the back protected.

I took my case off for about 2 weeks whilst I returned one and waited for another to arrive and it got 2 little scuffs on it, they are not scratches but are not coming off whatever they are!

Just got the iphone case ordered from basicase and got it through its faster services and really satisfying service. It was just an awesome experience...

It's not the back you need to worry about, its the sides that will scuff up and scratch easily.
