just curious. i plan to get a bumper eventually (should i get the apple brand?) someone told me the white turns yellow after a while. is that true?

I wouldn't expect the 4/4s to turn yellow because its glass not plastic like the 3GS was. Not to mention the white paint is on the inside of the glass. In that regard it should be fine.

they may have been talking about the white bumper.

to be honest all the bumpers discolour because of the rubber... my green one went blueish from my jeans real quick... which was a shame considering the price!!

I know it's different, but I own a white iPad. No color issues, but it's covered up all over with two different covers. My mom wondered why I wanted a white one because she said I would get dirty. I had to explain that it's white underneath a piece of glass.

I'm totally getting a white iPhone 4S once I figure out the economics of it all. I really like the look. I just wish other colors were available.

My 4s build quality is much better than my 4 (from day 1). I went through 3 iPhone 4s cuz they came out of the ox chipped. My current 4s is immaculate

I wouldn't bet on it, some 4S users on MR are reporting dents and chips on arrival. Here's hoping that my device will be as pristine as yours. Knock on wood. :)

Can't imagine the iPhone getting discolored since the glass is over any paint it may have. Anyone else notice that the white iPhone 4(s) looks remarkably like a toy? Just realized this... maybe I've gotta get used to it

I have white but have a case on it. I could see the edge plastic getting discolored. Mine isn't though.

Don't put your phone in an ox. You would think after the first, or maybe the second attempt that you'd learn this.

wouldn't doubt it, I have a white one and it has blue marks from my jeans.

Try washing your jeans more often.

I've had a white iPhone 4 since they came out in the spring, the color never changed and I don't put a case on it because I don't think they look good on white. I just got the white iPhone 4s in white also.
