I had the high-res 15" MacBook Pro, but returned it because I didn't like the small fonts. Well, Facebook's new look has really small fonts. I'm actually not that bothered by them to be honest.. making me think that I could adjust to the high-res one day.

Anyway, my question is, what does Facebook look like on the high-res displays now? The fonts much be even smaller now!

Do default font sizes really matter anymore when a simple two finger gesture makes them bigger?

Two reasons.

1) Increasing a font size on a webpage can cause the layout to be deformed.
2) Increasing the zoom of a webpage as a whole causes images to be pixelated.

I have no trouble reading it at 3 feet away on my 17". luckily for me I don't have to as I don't have facebook (WOO HO)

1680x1050 here.

The small font Facebook pages are okay when zoomed, but not perfect. You will find minor table issues and a few other things, but it shouldn't deter you.

The tiny fonts in the browser tabs and the entire menu system will probably drive you crazy, though.

I agree with you that we need Windows-style Large Fonts options.
