Those with keyboard flickering in App Store (ip5) possible fix

Long story short I tried the usual resets and restores, before my phone was replaced due to the keyboard flicker issue when entering my App Store password on my iphone. However, the issue presented itself on my new phone. So I recalled that during the diagnostic, one of the things the genius told me was that the CNN app was causing system crashes. So I deleted it, and 48 hrs in, no more screen flicker.

I don't have the CNN app and it is still happening to me.

I do have the CNN app and no keyboard flicker.

Also, CNN released an update yesterday, I think.
