To start off, I chose the route of a backpack. Backpacks distribute weight evenly and from experience, are alot more comfortable than messanger bags
After searching relentlessly for a backpack for my macbook and /or a sleeve to provide extra padding in the laptop, I settled with a bag that was specifically designed for the macbook (STM Small Loop, $60US). I was settled on the Dakine Duel Pack , but was discouraged about the large sleeve in the back designed for 15.4inch screens and the fact that this sleeve is pressured on your back when in use.
I then came across the use of a sleeve and a normal backpack. This idea was actually the most cost effective but I personally didn't trust how thin sleeves were, and having a 1200 machine floating around in my backpack was not an inviting concept.
So then deciding on a backpack, the Dakine and others of that style were out of the question. As of now, few cases are out that offer solid protection for the Macbook (screen sizes 13.3inch). But with STM's phenominal reputation and their release of a backpack specifically designed for the macbook, their product was worth a try. I'll post a review when I receive it. I hope this post will help future macbook fanatics looking for a case.
