Thoughts about NVidia + ATI together - only Windows

Hi,

I have searched the forum and I can't come to a conclusion whether using both makes of GPU is compatible in a Mac Pro. I know most people would disagree with doing it, but does it actually not work?

I have a 3,1 with an ATI HD2600, and have a spare 7800GTX lying about. I only need to use it in Windows.

depends which windows you're using...from memory, xp and 7 can handle it, but vista can't

that said, from what i've heard, it's better to swap cards between start-ups rather then have both

with that said, i'd take what i just said with a grain of salt
