So I went out and bought the iPad first gen at Verizon for $299. This thing is pretty nice. From $399 to $499 I would have stuck with iPad 2. But $299 was too tempting. I have not played much with either, but I'm thinking of sticking with this first gen till next year and cancelling my ipad 2 order. Anyone in the same boat?

To be honest, I don't see much of a point in upgrading the device. Money is not an issue to me and I could easily upgrade the 3 that we own to iPad 2's but they just don't seem to be much different. A few friends in the US that I have purchased the new one and they said it's all the same thing. I've had my iPhone 4 for a long time and I have not once used facetime. So I know I wouldn't use it on the iPad either. I would say to save your money and wait for next years model.
