With all of the new stability features that are being implemented with 10.6 snow leopard, mainly how pretty much every app including Finder will be re-written in Cocoa.

Do you guys/gals think that the reason why we haven't seen a major update to the Final Cut line is because it is being re-written from Carbon to Cocoa?

The two year upgrade cycle for Final Cut isn't that strange. I doubt they are going to be doing anything drastic for Final Cut Studio 3. My guess is that they will clean up Color, add some more features to Motion and update DVD Studio Pro. I doubt we will see much of a Final Cut rehaul until after 10.6 is actually out and has been in circulation for some time.
