I was wondering what people thought of Logic Studio. I purchased it last night. I hoped to use my iPhone rebate, but I guess there are some issues with it. After playing around on the 24" iMac that had Logic 8 loaded I could not walk out of the store with out it.
The main thing I liked was the single window design. Due to space I have recently had to box my second display, so the single window is very helpful. I also noticed that it is a lot easier to get started with a project. Setting up tracks, running audio and MIDI. Selecting the virtual instruments is also a lot less pain stacking.
I decided to install the whole thing, all 7 DVDs and filter out what I don't need or what to switch to a different drive later. The total install was 47G
, but I guess that is offset by the $500 price drop. I run a small studio so the price drop helped a lot, and being so small I can upgrade when I want to and not when all hardware gets upgraded.
Comments, impressions from anyone else who has gotten Logic Studio?
I think Apple did a really killer job with this one.
