I do like the iPad Mini 7. What I really wish is that there was a Magic Keyboard for it. That will bring the iPad OS software to life with the multi-tasking, external monitor support, etc. It enables the iPad Mini to be a productivity machine. I realize it's got a small screen and the width of the keyboard will be limiting...

Take a look at the concept. It's intended to work just like the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard. Same hinge design, materials, backlighting... but the keyboard has function and number rows eliminated. While it's not in the design, the top row would have numbers written in smaller font than the letters, etc. The keyboard design is designed to try and preserve the size of each letter key as much as possible and to make room for the largest possible glass trackpad as well.

*The design has some quirks I know (e.g., the layout on the side hinge shot).

The problem is the mini lacks the connector on the back for this to be viable. You can do it via Bluetooth and they cases like this but a little more bulky in Amazon.

I like my mini but any physical keyboard that is made for it is going to be too small for me to effectively touch type because I am never going to use it enough to truly get used to the small keyboard. I would imagine that the market for this is much smaller than that of the larger iPads and I can't see Apple making a dedicated Smart Keyboard for a small market.
