I've been a long time reader, first post, but wondering what you all thought on the possibility of a 15 or 17" MBA? I personally upgraded from an early '08 macbook pro (15") to a 2010 13" MBA. I sold my MBP for various reasons, nvidia graphics issue (not present and sold with apple care), contours, and the weight; it was awkward to use in my bed and such. I have a feeling I would love a MBP with the superdrive removed, more real estate size than the 13. But wondering what you all thought, intel processors most likely, possible a 6630 or similar for graphics, ram...4gbs standard, thunderbolt, backlit keyboard... your thoughts?

Thoughts on possible 15/17" MBA?

It's very likely that the next revision to the MacBook Pro line will forgo the optical drive. Personally I don't see Apple labeling 15" or 17" notebooks as MacBook Air as that line is intended to be ultra-portable. They may make the Pro's thinner and lighter due to a lack of optical drive but I think they'll keep the space for a 2.5" hard drive.
