Thoughts on the March 17th event. Involving the netbook/tablet.

With the rumors of an apple netbook in full swinge and WWDC less than 3 months away could iphone 3.0 be software that would run the ipod, iphone and the netbook/tablet? Maybe the 10 inch screens arent for a netbook but rather the large ipod touch we heard about late last year? Maybe tomorrows event will be the announcement but they want to keep things secret so they are putting it under the iPhone 3.0 name instead of some name involving netbook or tablet? My thoughts are Apple with demo iPhone 3.0 on the mysterious 10inch device. Whats your thoughts?

Most likely tomorrow will be Strictly about the iPhone.

I agree, tomorrow is about the phone and 3.0. The vitriol on MR will be a thing of beauty after they say nothing about a tablet or netbook.

I guess as a very VERY remote possibility, if a netbook were to come out with a AT&T 3G card/subscription something could be said, as a "one more thing" but I can't see it happening, wrong event, it's more than likely going to be 100% iPhone.

I'd say 10" is on the large side, but I don't see it out of the picture.

I doubt we'll see the device at the event, but I do agree that a version of the iPhone 3.0 software will be used for the upcoming mini-tablet.

We might see such a mini-tablet at WWDC or at the yearly iPod event.

I think tomorrow will be about iPhone software alone... I think it is too early for a net book to come out.

PS: A new iPhone look redesign would be cool too!

Ok I see where your all coming from but I think a more consevable hardware change would be a 32gb iphone/ 64gb ipod touch.

I don't think we'll see that yet, iPods get revisions in August - November, before winter holiday shopping, but after the back to school promotion finishes.
