well now that the montevina(ish) notebooks are here we can finally look forward to the big update...nehalem

just curious who is skipping this update and waiting for nehalem with me?

yup, but the "list of people waiting for montevina" thread started back in febuary, so now's just as gooda time as any to start looking forward to the biggest jump in CPU tech since Core2

What IF Apple decides to stick with nVidia for it's chipset? I like to think highly unlikely but won't we be waiting forever?

Throw me on this list, I am waiting until university starts next year :p

umm

nehalem is the CPU not the chipset

they can keep the nvidia chipset, the dual GPUS seem like a pretty neat idea, but nehalem is a replacement for penryn, not santa rose/ montevina

I'm buying a REFURB Late 2008 Macbook Pro in January and selling it for Nehalem next October? Is that timing accurate?

That's the way to do it!

I'm most likely doing the same when the 4 way mobile CPU's come out.
:D
